Art and Soundways asbl aims to develop individuals through the study, transmission and diffusion of traditional and contemporary music as well as any other form of art and well-being activity that may be associated with it.

We promote various artists and styles of music such as jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms with Fabrice Mukuna , Rebetiko or Greek blues with the group Cabaretiko , new Sufi music with the American-Egyptian violinist and composer Riad Abdel-Gawad , the Zyriab Duo/Trio/Jazz Quartet and the Riad'sTakht Ensemble , traditional melodies and dances from Rwanda notably with the trio Isonga Family , the inanga zither from Burundi with Melchior Ntahonkirye , the dances and pan flutes of the Toelegu Panpipers from the Solomon Islands.

We also organize courses for voice and violin with Riad Abdel-Gawad , introductory workshops on listening to world music, conferences on wellness activity topics such as Kundalini yoga or shiatsu for example, evenings for exchanging readings, etc.

We also present some visual artists and announce exhibitions of our acquaintances.

This is a recreation in 2024 of the non-profit organization Les Chants du Cercle des Lacs founded in 1996 by Linda Vanden Abeele (ethnomusicologist), Claude Goldmann (director) and Fédor Villafane (dance teacher and educator), sponsored by the musician and composer Alain Kremski. The activities of this association over twenty years are listed below.
